My name is Jackie. I live in a VERY small town in Michigan. I am 31 years old and I have been married for seven years, to a man who I met by chance on my 21st birthday, in a bar at last call. I didn't think I was going to meet my husband on that night... I thought I was just going to get lucky. I took him home that night and now 10 years later we are still together.

I have two small children who keep me very busy. Nathan is my oldest. He is five. When Nathan was born I didn't realize that when you had a baby.... things change it isn't all about me anymore. Needless to say after Nathan made his appearence we had a bumpy start. He was colic for 7 months and I went into a deep depression and i didn't have that bonding time with him. My husband, Peter took care of Nathan for the first months of his life.

Nathan is such a blessing to my life! He is such a smart little boy. He is in that stage where he asks a lot of questions about life. He loves G.I Joes, SpongeBob and Dinosaurs. He also loves to play with his little brother Ryan.

Ryan is my baby. He is three years old and he was/is my cuddle bug. He still carries his blanket around like Linus from "The Peanuts." When i had Ryan i prayed to god for a non-colic baby and I got it!! I got Ry-guy. Ryan loves his mama. He never wanted his dad to feed, change or hold him. This changed when he hit a year old. He is now a "Big Boy." He hates being refered to as a baby. He keeps me on my toes. I have a feeling I will be getting a lot phone calls from the principal when Ryan starts school. He likes to live on the edge.

I just graduated from college in August 2009. I am a Surgical Tech. I have many people say "What do you do then?". I work in the operating room. In a nutshell I set up cases, pass instruments to the surgeon and clean up afterwards. In all honesty i do soooo much more than that.

I started this blog to escape my daily life... but i suppose my blog is about my daily life. I live in Michigan (like i said) and we get snow. I don't mean we get a few inches.. I mean we get SNOW! We get upwards of 250-300 inches of snow a year. I don't care to much about winter, but this year I am going to give it a go and try skiing, snowshoeing and any other activity i can to get out and enjoy ........ ..... Winter. ugh.
